Noah Lyles, who became the fastest man in 100m with his gold medal victory in the 2024 Olympics, celebrated his win with his girlfriend, who was present in the stands to cheer him. The American track & field sprinter has been in a relationship with Jamaican athlete girlfriend Junelle Bromfield since 2022.
Although the pair have known each other since 2017, they remained friends for a few years as their first date didn’t go well. Later, the 6-time World Championships gold medalist gave another try to their relationship, and it bloomed!
While they preferably keep their bond as professional as possible on track, they can’t help but showcase their adoration for each other on social media. Lyles’ girlfriend is also an Olympian who won a bronze medal in mixed 4 × 400 meters relay at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Noah Lyles’ Girlfriend, Junelle Bromfield, Is A Jamaican-Born Sprinter
The two-time Olympic medalist Lyles’ girlfriend, Junelle Bromfield, was born in Black River, Jamaica, on February 8, 1998. As of this writing, she is 26 years old. A Jamaican by nationality of black ethnicity, Bromfield is a sprinter specializing in 400-meter relays.
Bromfield prefers to keep her family details most of the time but can’t help but mention them on her social profiles occasionally. In August 2021, after winning a bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she opened up about a tragic incident- she lost her mother to cancer.
As reported, her mom, Sandra Farquharson, was diagnosed with stage four cervical cancer in January 2021 and passed away in February of that year.
Amid the tragedy, she was preparing for the 2020 Olympics and stated that the journey while dealing with the mental anguish of her mom’s loss and her country’s expectations of her burned her out. Eventually, she was able to deliver her best and took a medal for her home country.
On her Facebook profile, Bromfield has tagged Chelsia Howard and Tashana Howard as her sisters.

Noah Lyles And His Girlfriend, Junelle, Remained Friends Before Dating: How Did They Meet?
Lyles met his significant other half, Junelle, via social media in 2017, and soon, their chats took a romantic turn.
During a podcast interview with Fast Lane Lifestyle in June 2024, the American sprinter revealed that they went on a date in 2018 after some chit-chats on social media. However, their first date “just didn’t click,” so they remained friends.
They ran into each other in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where Noah won a bronze medal in 200m while Junelle took home a bronze in the 4×400 m relay. However, nothing sort of romance sparked between the two as they were dating other people then.
It was not until early 2022 that Lyles slid into Bromfield’s DM after his break-up with his then-girlfriend; at that time, she was also single. So, they planned a date in February of that year, and the rest is history.
The couple went Instagram official about their relationship in the 2022 fall.
Noah took to Instagram to share a picture with Junelle in October as they went on a beach vacation in Bermuda, while his athlete girlfriend shared their photos in December as she accompanied him to the USATF Night of Legends celebration, where he won ale Athlete of the Year Award.
In August 2023, Bromfield took to Instagram to share a post on their anniversary and wrote, “Cheers to 7 years of friendship, 6 months of dating, 1 year of being your partner, And to forever loving you.”
Junelle Bromfield Is Close With Noah’s Family
Not just with Noah, his girlfriend, Bromfield, is close with his family, especially with his mom, Keisha Caine. While talking with The Inside Lane, the Jamaican-born athlete admitted that when she began dating Lyles, she moved to Florida and lived with his mom before moving on with him.
Also, she added that her boyfriend’s mom would drive her to training “every day.”
Lyles’ mom is also on good terms with his son’s girlfriend. During the 2024 Olympics, Keisha carried the flags of America and Jamaica on her fingernails as a nod to Junelle.
Lyles Celebrated His 2024 Olympics Gold Medal Win With His Girlfriend And Mom
With a personal best time of 9.81 for 100m at the Diamond League meeting in July 2024, Noah became a gold medalist in the 2024 Olympics with a new personal best of 9.784. He left a 0.005 seconds margin over Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson (9.789).
After his victory, Lyles went to the stands to celebrate his significant achievement with his mom and girlfriend. Junelle Bromfield posted a picture from that celebration moment on her Instagram, featuring her hugging her beau with tears of joy, and wrote, “The double is alive ‼️”
Since Lyles snatched the gold medal from the Jamaican sprinter and handed him silver, some fans commented that Bromfield chose love over the country.
Junelle also competed in the 2024 Olympics; she finished 3rd in the Heat 6 of the 400m. She also ran in the 4 × 400 meters relay final, where the Jamaican team, consisting of Barnes, Hayles, McPherson, and Bromfield, finished 5th.
