Emerging NBA player Ron Holland’s girlfriend, Maya Linto, is a collegiate basketball player. The Texas-native basketball star introduced his girlfriend in style as she accompanied him as Holland became the 5th overall pick of the Detroit Pistons in the 2024 NBA draft.

At the 2021 FIBA Under-16 Americas Championship, he earned a spot on the All-Tournament team as the United States secured the gold medal. Again, at the 2022 FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup, Holland excelled, averaging 11.1 points and 6.6 rebounds over seven games.

Holland never revealed anything about his relationship until June 2024, after he became the 2024 NBA draft pick (5th overall), behind Zaccharie Risacher, Alex Sarr, Reed Sheppard, and Stephon Castle.

The Pistons small forward took to his Instagram story to share pictures with his girlfriend, Maya Linton, a basketball player, as he got an entry into the NBA.

In Ron’s Instagram post featuring him with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, where the latter congratulated him, his girlfriend, Maya, commented, “Proud of you” with a heart emoji. She also added another comment, “MAMA HE MADE IT.”

So, when did their relationship begin? Even if the duo has yet to open up details of their courtship, fans believe they’ve been dating since high school. Both of them attended Duncanville High School.

Moreover, Maya’s Instagram story highlights feature their picture from July 2023, suggesting that they’ve been together for a year.

After the Detroit Pistons picked Ron in the NBA draft, Linton posted an Instagram story congratulating him. Ron also shared a picture with Maya on his IG story but has yet to post a photo with her on his profile.

Maya Linton, 5′ 11″, was born and raised in Duncanville, Texas. She is a promising basketball player who plays forward for her college team, the UTSA Roadrunners.

A four-year varsity letterman at Duncanville High School, she enrolled at the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2022.

In her freshman season (2022–23), she appeared in 27 video games, showcasing her talents and contributing considerably on defense with three. Her performance peaked with a season-high nine factors in the Conference USA Championships semifinals against Western Kentucky.

Continuing her career as a sophomore (2023–24), Maya excelled, playing in 26 games with ten starts. Maya’s achievements add to her extensive faculty career, during which she was a standout player at Duncanville High School, earned Defensive Player of the Year honors, and contributed to more than one championship title.

She will have more opportunities to further her skills as she continues her career. She is dedicated and has a strong personality. We will probably see her in more gameplay.

Holland Became The 5th Overall Pick Of The Detroit Pistons In The 2024 NBA Draft

The Detroit Pistons selected Ron Holland (the fifth overall pick) in the 2024 NBA Draft, held at Barclays Center. In addition to the top four—Risacher, Sarr, Sheppard, and Castle—other notable picks in the draft were Tidjane Salaün, Donovan Clingan, and Rob Dillingham.
