NFL Hall Of Famer Michael Irvin Has Four Kids With Different Professional Backgrounds

NFL

Michael Irvin, a three-time Super Bowl champion and the Dallas Cowboy legend, has four kids with two partners. The 58-year-old former player has two sons and two daughters with his wife Sandra and his previous relationship. His kids have selected different career paths, but football is still in their blood.

His sons, Michael Irvin Jr. and Elijah, have tried their football careers; however, his daughters have remained outside of the sports. Nevertheless, they made a decent career out of their passion as well.

Michael has been regarded as one of the best wide receivers in the history of the Dallas Cowboys. As a result, fans expect high-quality football from his kids, too. So, are they as skillful as their father? Let’s Learn what they are doing now.

Michael Irvin’s Eldest Son, Michael Irvin Jr., Followed His Father’s Footsteps

Michael’s eldest son is Michael Irvin Jr., whom he shares with his wife, Sandra. Irvin Jr., weighing 234 pounds, played tight end for the Florida Atlantic Owls. He was born on May 8th, 1997, and is currently 27 years old.

During his high school career, ESPN, 247Sports, and Rivals rated him as a three-star prospect. In 2015, he helped St. Thomas Aquinas to its second straight FHSAA 7A Championship. He played an essential part in the state championship game against Viera.

Later, in 2015, he was transferred to St. Thomas Aquinas after recording over 1,200 yards receiving at Prestonwood Christian High School (Texas). After playing there for a few years, he chose Miami over Georgia, Michigan, and NC State scholarship offers.

During his freshman year, he participated in five games. He debuted in the season opener against Florida A&M on September 3. He also played against special teams at Virginia Tech and Notre Dame. In addition, he also competed against Pittsburgh, NC State.

During his Sophomore year, he participated in 12 of 13 games with three starts. He started in the season opener against Bethune-Cookman and hauled in the first catch of his career on an 11-yard reception. He started the ACC Championship Game against Clemson and finished with three catches totaling 18 yards. Furthermore, he also started the Capital One Orange Bowl against Wisconsin and had one four-yard reception.

Due to a knee injury, he missed the entire junior season. However, he played in all 13 games as a senior and had a great season with the team. He graduated in 2020 and has not played football as a professional.

Michael Irvin’s Second Son, Elijah Irvin, Tried His Luck In Rap

Michael’s second son with Sandra, Elijah, commonly known as Tut Tarantino, has played football for his high school. Weighing at 190 pounds and standing at 5’11”, Elijah Irvin has played for Prestonwood Christian in Plano, Texas.

Elijah did not have the physical advantage of his father and brother, so he did not perform at the same level in his football career. However, he found his passion in music and rap. With his successful rap career, he has amassed many fans on his social media accounts, including Instagram, with over 25K followers.

Irvin’s Father Does Not Like His Rap Persona

Despite his love for music, his father does not seem to like his gangster persona.

In a recent FS1 program called “Undisputed,” co-host Michael Irvin publicly criticized his child for bringing the family’s reputation into disrepute—a move that most parents would prefer to avoid at all costs. Granted, Irvin didn’t explicitly state that his son Elijah, better known as Tut Tarantino, was harming the family’s reputation, but it can be reasonably assumed.

Bringing up that his son “grew up in a gated community” and is rapping about Michael Irvin’s life rather than his own, he began to discuss his son’s lyrics. Funny enough, this isn’t even the first time Irvin has said this; the response has varied. On the “Dan Patrick Show,” he made the same statement in 2019.

Irvin truly made the money to remove his children from everything. He made an excellent life for his children. That’s why his father is so irritated, and I aspire never to be in his position. Watching one of them remove that wonderful life and make it appear like it never happened must be really upsetting.

However, everything seems fine between the father-son duo. They share a very close relationship and are often seen together on vacations and in family programs.

Michael Irvin Has Two Daughters, Myesha Beyonca And Chelsea

Mysesha Beyonca is Irvin’s eldest child. She is the daughter of Michael and his previous partner, Felicia Walker. She has a close relationship with Michael, Sandra, and her half-siblings. Moreover, she is seen with the Irving brothers quite too often.

She has not revealed anything about her professional career, but she seems to be a social media influencer based on her social media accounts. Mysesha has a decent number of followers on her social media handle and is seen traveling a lot.

Michael Irvin’s Child Support Issue With Felicia Walker (Myesha’s Mom)

In the mid-1990s, Michael and his then-partner, Felicia, with whom he welcomed his daughter Myesha, had a battle for child support, which made roar headlines.

She filed a paternity suit against Irvin on April 10, 1990, as he showed no interest in supporting their daughter, Myesha. Irvin strongly disputed being the father in a court filing on June 8, 1990.

He challenged the attorney general to show otherwise after hiring an excellent counsel at the prestigious downtown Dallas law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld.

Irvin married Sandy Harrell, his current wife, in Florida two weeks later.

Ordered To Pay Child Support After Two Paternity Tests

Blood tests were done for the case hearing, so Walker’s two-year-long litigation finally led to a $210,000 trust fund for the girl, as mandated by the court. Myesha received $1,250 monthly in interest payments from her trust until she was 18.

Considering Irvin’s legal issues, the settlement terms—outlined in a distinctly unjuicy, 19-page court order dated March 23, 1992—were recently made public in this newspaper and The Dallas Morning News.

Walker was not Irvin’s one-night stand companion from the motel. There is documentation in the court file indicating that the “parents of the child are separated,” and it is evident that Walker and the other maintained communication throughout Walker’s pregnancy. By then, their relationship was anything but cordial.

The day before the hearing, Irvin’s attorneys filed a motion asking for the hearing to be rescheduled and for Irvin to have a second blood test “due to what [Irvin] believes was an irregularity in the first paternity testing procedure.” Eventually, a temporary support hearing was scheduled for March 1.

Walker received interim support ($1,900 monthly) and complete medical and dental treatment for Myesha, who was placed on Irvin’s Cowboys health insurance plan by court order. Irvin received his second blood test, which gave the same results as the first.

As it became apparent that Irvin would have to fulfill his obligations to his child, Walker was requested to provide a written justification for Myesha’s custody.

Walker clarified that in addition to wanting custody, Irvin needed to give her $2,500 per month in child support. Irvin, however, was unwilling to spend more than $800 per month. Because of this, Irvin—who wasn’t precisely in financial distress but wasn’t exactly a millionaire, was compelled to provide the court with various financial documents and pay the child support.

Michael Irvin’s Wife, Sandra, Has Alzheimer’s Disease

Sandy Harrell and Irvin tied the knot in 1990, while the latter started his NFL career with the Cowboys. They are parents to two daughters and two sons, including a daughter from the former player’s previous relationship.

Irvin met his wife at the University of Miami. The two celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary in June 2024.

According to a Tuesday story in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Sandy Irvin, 58, has been battling the illness for five or six years and is experiencing trouble speaking and moving around.

Irvin has hired a live-in carer for Sandy despite these problems, refusing to place her in a nursing home. Irvin initially disclosed to his patrons and the general public that Sandy was experiencing significant health problems at Playmakers on Monday.

Despite the severe health issues, Michael does not want his wife to stay away from him at any time. ‘If anyone has earned the right to stay in her house, MY WIFE HAS!!!’ Michael told the Star-Telegram. ‘That I shall honor. No matter what it takes.’

After discussing his wife’s health and condition, he starts discussing her preferences; he claims Sandy is a huge fan of his chef’s wings, having worked for another restaurant.

“She is a really picky eater, especially when I’m working,” Irvin, who hosts FS1’s “Undisputed,” stated to the outlet. “And when I’m traveling, she always calls and says, ‘Baby, I’m hungry.'” I’m on the show. I used to phone during the breaks and say, “My wife just called. Please bring her some chicken home.”
