Tamika said she sensed that her child had been in pain for months. “I didn’t just see, but I also felt it,” Tamika said. “You know, I tell them all the time that I can feel their pain, I can feel what they’re going through mentally in my heart, and I can text them like, ‘Are you okay?’ because I feel it. But it is hard. It was tough to know that I couldn’t just drive down the street, or I couldn’t just send an email like I could when he was in school.”

But she knew what he was going through was a phase, and that would help him become a better person someday. She wanted him to continue and never stop what he was doing, and she let him know that she was there for him in every step of life.
