Arjun Saud is a young Nepalese cricketer who is already echoing his name on international platforms with his promising games in T20Is and ODIs.

A native of Dhangadi, Nepal, Saud lived most of his life in his hometown before moving to the Capital to take his sporting career to a new level.

Having played in regional leagues and the U-19 national team, he made his List-A debut in 2022 at 19 and is an aspiring figure in the national and domestic sides.

With experience from playing in the Sudurpashchim Province cricket team, he progressed into clubs like the Nepal Army Club and the Nepal Police Club. With the Biratnagar Super Kings, he played in the Everest Premier League (EPL) and the 2022 Nepal T20 League.

In August 2022, Saud, a right-handed wicket-keeper batsman, was selected for Nepal’s Twenty20 International (T20I) team to play Kenya in a series. On August 28, 2022, he faced Kenya in his first Twenty20 International match.

He was included in Nepal’s One Day International (ODI) team for their series against the United Arab Emirates in November 2022. On November 14, 2022, he made his ODI debut in Kirtipur against the United Arab Emirates.

Likewise, Arjun played for Biratnagar Super Kings and represented them in the 2022 Nepal T20 League. The Dhangadi-born was close to winning the first trophy for the team but failed Lumbini All Stars, which beat them in the 2023 final.

In the championship match at the TU cricket ground in Kirtipur, the Lumbini All-Stars defeated the Biratnagar Super Kings by 24 runs. Under Dipendra Singh Airee’s leadership, the Lumbini All-Stars emerged victorious in the first Nepal T20 League. A heart-break to remember for the young player.

However, he would raise his head in the One Day Primeminister Cup 2024. The Prime Minister One Day Cup, Nepal’s top one-day cricket competition, entered its sixth edition in 2024.

After defeating Tribhuwan Army Club by six wickets in the final, Nepal Police Club won the Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament for the third time.

This team included other superstars like Dipendra Singh Airee (c), Lalit Rajbanshi, Kushal Bhurtel, Aarif Sheikh, and Sagar Dhakal.

Ever since his international cap in 2022, Arjun has played in 11 ODI matches, hitting 189 runs in 11 innings for a strike rate of 17.18.
