Shortly before the trial started, the couple moved into an apartment near the court, which was paid for by Woodward’s au pair agency. The Woodward couple submitted a $15,400 invoice for seven months’ accommodation.

Susan was a guest at the lawyer’s home but claimed it cost her $2,200 monthly. It was reported that the duo were getting rich while they defrauded their daughter’s appeal fund. A person named Bernard Lever also revealed that the duo had £80,000 in assets, including £50,000.
