He was born on May 26, 1994. His father, Narendra Kunwar, was a member of a Prism band. He later went to Dubai and worked in managerial positions. His mother, Ranju Khadka Kunwar, is a full-time mother.
Neetesh was raised as a single child in his family and spent most of his early years in Lalitpur and Kathmandu.

Neetesh Jung Kunwar opened up about his early childhood and dark years in an episode of Storytellers in 2018.
He said he was addicted to substance abuse with peer pressure. Furthermore, he said he was short-tempered, hyperactive, and part of a gang.
Neetesh revealed that he was addicted to pills and smoking marijuana when he was just 19.
Injury In A Fight Changed His Perception Of Life: Start Of Music Career
Kunwar went on to share his story when he was drinking with his friends and got into a fight. While drinking, he saw his friend fighting a stranger. He got aggressive with that stranger, which escalated things.
A few days later, he was waiting for his friends, and he was attacked with a brick in his head. After that, he got beaten up by 2-3 people. Neetesg was heavily injured and left unconscious.
He was admitted to the hospital with broken Jaws, injury on his eyes, and 18 stitches in his head. Later, the police arrested his attackers.
After a few days, the attacker’s mom came to his house and apologized to him to bail out his son. Initially, Neetesh was angry and did not respond. However, later, he bailed out his attacker. This decision would make him feel regretful for months.
However, this all changed after a year and a half when the attacker came to him and thanked him for his gesture.
The miserable injury also paved the path for the Lalitpur-based singing icon. When he was injured, he stayed alone in his room, and music became his only way out of boredom.

Neetesh started as a corporate executive at Ford Motor Company until he pursued a music career.
Like most Nepali singers, Neetesh began his musical career by uploading songs to his YouTube channel. However, Sisan Bania, a Nepali YouTuber, greatly influenced Neetesh’s musical career by encouraging him to post songs on his channel.
Neetesh gained popularity after releasing “Gedai Jasto Jindagi” in 2017, which he describes as his life’s narrative.
Neetesh declared that his tracks would soon be accessible on Spotify and dropped the single “First Date (Phailo Bhet)” off his first debut album, Alter, on February 28, 2019.
