Malvika Subbha’s Controversy Of 2022
A freelance makeup artist claimed in May 2022 that she was r*ped repeatedly by a pageant organizer in 2014 when she was sixteen years old.
She also said that she had notified Subba about the experience at the time, but the former Miss Nepal had rejected her accusations and refused to listen.
Subba received backlash for openly supporting feminism and women’s rights activities while disregarding a victim’s suffering.
According to Onlinekhabar, the woman claimed that Subba, the pageant’s choreographer, informed her that “you being r*ped is your problem, not mine” when she eventually confronted her abuser and got in touch with him.
The victim, who had long admired Subba, claimed in her videos that it made her feel disregarded and devalued.
The woman further disclosed that the abuser threatened to release her n*de images and videos if she reported the assault. The woman claimed that the abuser continued to extort her with the same photos and videos for an additional six months.
In a lengthy social media message, Subba acknowledged the problem and regretted not standing up for the victim. “You have every right to be angry with me, and I deserve all the hate I am receiving because I truly failed you,” she stated.
“I don’t recall you mentioning the word ‘r*pe’ or me reacting the way you are talking about,” she added in the statement, but she also said she believed the victim’s account.
“None of us can imagine what she is going through at this time and what she has gone through all these years,” Subba remarked while speaking to the public. “I respectfully request that we all pay attention to her and provide her with the help she desires rather than the assistance we believe she requires,” she added.
