Dayahang Rai started his acting journey by joining Actors’ Studio in 2007. Rai is affiliated with Mandala Theatre in Nepal, which he co-founded alongside Rajan Khatiwada and Dhiren Raja.
In 2009, Dayahang debuted on the big screen by starring as Dorje in Mero Euta Sathi Cha. In 2010, he appeared in the hit film Dasdhunga, which also stars Saugat Malla.
After working on some projects, Rai became famous in 2012 for his role as Gopal in the famous Nepali movie Loot. Rai started getting offers from different movies and starred in Highway, Chhadke, Saanghuro, Uma, Loafer, and Jholay.
The turning point of his career came in 2014 when Rai landed the role of Kaji in Kabaddi and has since appeared in all its sequels.

Actor Dayahang Rai and his wife Benuka Rai have been married since 2006. The Rai couple has supported each other since then. Benuka is a singer who has already sung multiple songs, including Aama Mero Aama.
Rai and his wife mainly keep their personal lives confidential, but it is said that the duo dated for six years before tying the knot. Dayahang and Benuka also started their own families after being married for a long time.
